Centroid vs FX Cubic — a broker-grade comparison

Both bridges can run a serious brokerage. The decision is rarely about features — it's about how each platform fails under stress. Here's what we have learned operating both.

Bridge selection is one of the few decisions that follows a broker for the entire operating life of the platform. Both Centroid Risk + Bridge and FX Cubic can run a serious shop. The decision is rarely about features.

It is about failure mode. How does each behave when an LP starts streaming stale prices, a symbol dictionary mismatch slips into production, or a bridge process restarts mid-session?

Centroid

Strengths: documented runbook, predictable behaviour, well-tuned A/B/hybrid book modes, rich risk tools.

Gotchas: configuration sprawl. Without strong change control you end up with three slightly-different rule sets and no-one is sure which one is canonical.

FX Cubic

Strengths: clean operator UX, excellent execution-quality reporting, strong support for hybrid-book strategies.

Gotchas: requires more discipline around LP onboarding to avoid surprise behaviour at the edges of the routing logic.

What we tell founders

Pick the platform whose failure mode you can live with — not the one with the prettiest demo. We run both day-to-day; if you want a private comparison sized to your venue, get in touch.
